The group meets EACH month on the 3rd WEDNESDAY at the Royal British Legion, 10 Longford Lane, Kingsteignton TQ12 3LH from 14:00 to 16:00.

We meet to develop and share the skills required to research our ancestors and explore the world in which they lived.
We do this through sharing and presentations about our experiences of researching our ancestors, exploring challenges that group members are having during their research and we share our knowledge.
Recent topics we have covered included: using on line records to help solve 'brick walls', sharing family stories, using photo enhancement AI, and sharing all the many resources we have used to do our research. We hope to look at 'reading old writing', 'how we keep files in order', and 'wills' . Some projects lead us into a deeper understanding of the historical setting and social history of the time.
This group has capacity for a few more, and we do have an absolute beginners group running concurrently (Genie 2). We welcome new members, both those with experience and those who are new to genealogy and support is freely given.
