Welcome to Teign u3a

Teign u3a are based in Newton Abbot and the surrounding areas. The u3a is a self-help organisation for people who are no longer in full-time employment. We provide opportunities for our members to share learning experiences and to pursue educational, creative and leisure activities in a friendly environment.

We have over 60 activities every month! 

Our annual membership fee is currently £30 (until 31st March 2026) which includes free access to any group or groups; monthly meetings and special open days; our monthly newsletter; and an online version of the national magazine Third Age Matters. A delivered copy of the magazine five times per year can be requested from the Membership Secretary for £3pa.

3. Or you can join in person or find out more at the Monthly Meeting (4th Thursday every month) at the St Pauls Church Hall,  (Devon Square, Newton Abbot TQ12 2HN) at 2pm or at any of our Tea and Coffee events see the scrolling banner above for details.

Additional member benefits:

As a member you will have access to the ‘My Information’ page in the ‘u3a menu’. This will display the groups that you attend and you can also check and update your own personal details.

The ‘Groups’ page will show you all the groups that we run. By clicking on the appropriate group you will see more details about the event, contact details, times and locations.

You can contact any committee member through the ‘u3a Contacts’ button at the top of the page. The ‘Picture Gallery’ will take you to a selection of photographs of the associated group.
